About us
Established in 1908, GERB Vibration Control Systems is working in the field of vibration isolation and vibration reduction of machinery, buildings and equipment. Since then, the GERB Group of companies has continued to develop this technology, solving dynamic problems in many new fields of application. GERB offers consultation and vibration measurements, design, production and installation of vibration isolation systems and full civil engineering of machine foundations for machines and structures, like forging hammers, presses, turbines, pipework systems, buildings, rail tracks. Earthquake protection of machinery and buildings is one of the important fields of GERB business. GERB has its headquarters in Berlin, Germany and subsidiaries in Brazil, China, Czechia, France, India, Italy, USA, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Thailand, Singapore and South Korea.

GERB Vibration Control Systems in Power Plants
Direct spring support of forging hammers – 100 kJ Bêché
hammers, featuring helical steel springs and viscous fluid dampers. Direct spring support systems are now used worldwide on over 1000 hammers with blow energies up to 400 kJ. GERB spring-Viscodamper® combinations effectively isolate hammer vibrations, and bring the hammer to rest before the next blow.
Elastic support of presses - Schuler Beutler press
During the operation of presses, strong vibrations are caused by speed changes of moving parts, the impact of the ram and especially during cutting processes, which can lead to unacceptable disturbance and inconvenience in the neighbourhood. Elastic support provided by GERB spring units can considerably reduce the vibrations caused by the press. Reductions in the vibration speeds – as a yardstick for the assessment of the vibration – of about 80% and more are possible.
